The Alexandre Turpualt CANDIDE bed linen set with its stylized floral design was inspired by 18th century Persians. The flowers are cheerful, the light blue background soothing. The reverse side is a micro print with small carmine strokes on a plain background that creates a very soft counterpoint and warms up the blue. The flat sheet and shams feature a khaki cotton braid piping. Printed on 200 thread count cotton percale which gives it softness, freshness and a great resistance to washing.*The name of the model refers to the philosophical tale of Voltaire, Candide or The Optimist, published under a pseudonym in Geneva in 1759, it was one of the greatest literary successes of its time
